Green Bay, WI — The University of Wisconsin Green Bay continues to celebrate Hispanic/Latinx Heritage month with the community. On Saturday, September 30, The Weidner Philharmonic will perform pieces featuring four Hispanic composers during their “Dance Dance Evolution” program.

The University of Wisconsin Green Bay is hosting a symphony performance to celebrate Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month. The Weidner Philharmonic will be performing pieces by four Hispanic composers during their “Dance Dance Evolution” program. The event aims to showcase the interconnectedness of music and dance by exploring and reimagining dance music genres from around the world. UW-Green Bay Chancellor, Michael Alexander, will be conducting the performance, which takes place on Saturday, September 30. The university has seen an increase in the Hispanic/Latinx student population, currently comprising approximately 9% of the student body. This event is part of a larger effort by the university and community to recognize and celebrate the contributions and presence of Hispanic/Latinx people in the United States.
