During an interaction with the beneficiaries of ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his belief that if all 1.4 billion citizens of the country unite with a determination to develop the nation, India will undoubtedly achieve the status of ‘Viksit’ by the year 2047.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp yatra serves as my personal evaluation. Its purpose is to determine whether the promises I made have been fulfilled or not. Specifically, I am interested in knowing if people have received houses, especially those who were previously without one. In our nation, numerous government schemes have been implemented. Based on my experience with these schemes, I strongly believe that it is crucial for the government to ensure that these initiatives reach the people in a timely manner and without any complications. For instance, if there is a Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the government should actively participate in constructing houses instead of requiring individuals to pursue them. By taking the lead, the government can effectively address the housing needs of approximately four crore families, as entrusted to me by you.
PM Modi emphasized that his participation in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is in his capacity as the MP of Varanasi. He acknowledged the collective efforts of individuals involved in government, politics, and social work to ensure the success of this initiative. As the representative of Varanasi, he felt it was his responsibility to dedicate his time to this program.
In a prior event, PM Modi engaged in a video conference with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. He highlighted that his commitment to progress begins when others lose hope. Additionally, he inaugurated the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram.
