Due to scheduling conflicts, Steven Yeun has decided to depart from the upcoming Marvel Studios film, ‘Thunderbolts’. This highly anticipated film, which was unveiled at Disney’s D23 Expo in 2022, showcases a formidable group of Marvel antiheroes and supervillains.

Steven Yeun, renowned for his notable performances in ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Minari’, has made the decision to withdraw from the highly anticipated Marvel Studios film, ‘Thunderbolts’. This multi-starrer project, directed by Jake Schreier of ‘Paper Towns’ fame, was officially unveiled at Disney’s D23 Expo in 2022. Unfortunately, Yeun’s departure from the cast is attributed to unavoidable scheduling conflicts. ‘Thunderbolts’, featuring esteemed actors such as Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan, is slated for release in July 2025.

The production of the film was impacted by the strikes of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) in 2023.

‘Thunderbolts’ showcases a group of antiheroes and supervillains from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), featuring notable actors such as Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus in significant roles.

Following his appearance in Netflix’s ‘Beef’ alongside Ali Wong, Steven Yeun will be seen in Bong Joon Ho’s ‘Micky 17’, where he stars alongside Robert Pattinson, and ‘Love Me’ alongside Kristen Stewart.
