The preparations for the sacred abode of Shri Ram Lalla are nearing completion. Notably, the installation of lighting fixtures has recently been finished.
The consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is scheduled to take place on January 22 of the upcoming year. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will be dispatching letters to approximately 6,000 individuals, inviting them to attend the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony in Ayodhya. Distinguished figures such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are anticipated to grace the occasion with their presence.
In the meantime, the Ram temple trust will make the final decision on December 15 regarding which of the three sculpted idols of Ram Lalla will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum.
The temple trust recently shared images of the intricate floor inlay work of the temple on X. These pictures showcased the exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail that has gone into creating the temple’s design. The trust is dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of the temple is meticulously crafted to reflect the grandeur and divinity of the deity it will house. The idols, which are currently being carved from rocks sourced from Karnataka and Rajasthan, are nearing completion with 90 percent of the work already done. Skilled artisans Ganesh Bhatt, Arun Yogiraj, and Satyanarayan Pandey are diligently giving the idols their final touches. On December 15, the best idol among the three will be chosen and consecrated in the temple’s sanctum sanctorum, as stated by Champat Rai. Furthermore, in the third week of January 2024, the idol of Ram Lalla will be ceremoniously installed in its original place by Prime Minister Modi, as revealed by Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, the treasurer of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
On August 5, 2020, Prime Minister Modi initiated the construction of the Ram temple by laying its foundation stone.
