Bonda Mani, the Tamil actor-comedian, has sadly departed.


The actor, who experienced kidney-related health issues, was swiftly transported to a medical facility after losing consciousness at his home on Saturday evening.
Tamil actor and comedian Kedheeswaran, also known as Bonda Mani, sadly passed away in Chennai on Saturday at the age of 60. It has been reported that the actor had been battling kidney-related illnesses.
The actor, who had been undergoing treatment for renal failure, reportedly collapsed on Saturday night at his residence in Pozhichalur before being immediately taken to a hospital. Tragically, he was pronounced dead.
Originally from Sri Lanka, Kedheeswaran arrived in Tamil Nadu in 1983 as a refugee during the Sri Lankan civil war. It was a fortuitous encounter with actor-director K Bhagyaraj that propelled him into the film industry, where he found success as a supporting actor in Pavunnu Pavunuthan (1991).
While he initially gained recognition as a supporting actor, his true claim to fame came from his comedic performances alongside Vadivelu. Some of his most memorable comedy scenes were featured in movies such as Pongalo Pongal (1997), Sundara Travels (2002), Winner (2003), Englishkaran (2005), Aaru (2005), and Marudhamalai.
Bonda Mani, with a career spanning over thirty years, has an impressive filmography of more than 250 movies. His most recent appearance was in the film “Va Varalam Va,” released this year.
As per reports, Bonda Mani’s mortal remains are currently being kept at his residence in Pozhichalur for people to pay their respects. The final rituals to bid him farewell will take place at 5 o’clock in the evening at a crematorium located in Chrompet. The actor leaves behind his wife, a son, and a daughter, as his surviving family members.
