Miami-Dade and Broward Counties: Operating Hours on New Year’s Day


MIAMI — Following the celebration of the new year, numerous establishments will remain closed on the initial day of 2024.
Here is a brief overview of what will be open and what will be closed on New Year’s Day:
– Federal offices: Closed.
– State offices: Closed.
– Miami-Dade County and Broward County offices: Closed.
– Miami-Dade and Broward courts: Closed.
– Public schools: Closed.
– Post offices: Closed.
– Stock markets: Closed.
– Banks: The majority will be closed.
– Miami-Dade libraries: Closed.
– Broward libraries: Closed.
– Tri-Rail: Operating on a weekend schedule.
– Miami-Dade Transit: Metrorail and Metromover will operate according to their regular weekend schedule. Metrobus will operate on a Sunday schedule.
– Broward County Transit: Following a Sunday Holiday schedule.
– Miami-Dade garbage and recycling collection: Following the normal schedule. All disposal facilities, including Trash and Recycling Centers, will be open.
– Broward garbage and recycling collection: Following the normal schedule for Broward Municipal Services District. Residents of all other Broward municipalities should check with their municipality for the schedule.
